Hemp

A lovely soft natural rope with a typical smell sometimes reminiscent of the horse stable. It may, however, be that with some suppliers you will be more bothered by this than others. Despite the smell, which does decay with time, this is a pleasant rope to bind with. It fluffs a little less quickly than burlap and glides smoothly through the fingers.

If you don't have hay fever, this is a wonderful rope to do shibari with. Afterwards you will also have nice rope marks. This rope is also a good choice if you want to practice shibari in silence.

Use an oil or wax to make the rope glide smoothly through your fingers. This will be pleasant for both the bunny and the rigger.
